Born in Kansas City Missouri cellist Eric Eaton began studying cello at the age of ten. Two years later Eric won two concerto competitions performing the Saint-Saens cello concerto with the Independence Symphony and the Kansas City Youth Orchestra  He attended the Manhattan School of Music where he studied with David Geber and received his Bachelor degree in Cello Performance. He regularly performs with many orchestras in the New York area including the Westchester Philharmonic, New York Chamber players, Urban Playground Chamber Orchestra, Orchestra Of The Bronx, New Haven Symphony Orchestra, and the Empire Chamber Orchestra.

In his studies Eric Eaton has had the pleasure to work with such cellists as Bonnie Hampton, Eleonore Schoenfeld, Orlando Cole, Margo Tatgenhorst Drakos and Lawrence Figg. Eric is a teaching artist with the Bridge Arts Ensemble working with school districts in the Adirondacks. Most recently he has enjoyed touring the world with Lincoln Center Stage.
