Sarah Miller appeared most recently with the Center for Contemporary Opera as Olga in Four Sisters.  Other roles with CCO include Ottla in Kafka’s Women; Zellah in The Mark of Cain; Jesse in William Mayer’s A Death in the Family and Lady Verena inThe Secret Agent, both at Opéra Théâtre d’Avignon, FR and the Armel Opera Festival, HU.  Other recent engagements include Proserpine (cover) in La descente d’Orphée aux enfers with Gotham Opera, Stéphano in Roméo et Juliette with the New York Opera Exchange, and Sarah/Sari in Noël Coward’s Bitter Sweet at Bard SummerScape. With Maestra Lucy Arner, she performed Serafina in Il campanello di notte and the Second Woman/Attendant in Dido and Aeneas at Symphony Space. With Maestro Richard Barrett, she has sung Olga in Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin, the title role in Carmen, and Despina in Così fan tutte at Whitman Hall in Brooklyn.  At Florida Grand Opera, Ms. Miller performed Xenia inBoris Gudonov with James Morris and the Female Chorus in The Rape of Lucretia.  As a recital soloist, Ms. Miller has been featured by Joy in Singing at Trinity Church (William Bolcom’s I Will Breathe a Mountain) and at the Bruno Walter Auditorium at Lincoln Center (Lee Hoiby’s Three Ages of Woman.)  She holds a M.M. in Music Performance from Brooklyn College Conservatory of Music and a B.A. in Art History from Columbia College, Columbia University.  Her other interests include contemporary art and classical literature.  Currently, she teaches 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Latin.  For more information please visit sarahmiller.info.
